Rob Locke is a “veteran” actor, television presenter, voice-over artist and on-air personality. He has been a regular fixture on stage and screen for almost 30 years!
As a professional performer and entertainer, it’s no surprise that Rob is passionate about film and TV. In addition to being a self-proclaimed aficionado, particularly when it comes to pub quizzes, he is an avid collector of merchandise and memorabilia from both genres.
Rob was born in England and grew up in the nation’s capital, London. He was bitten by the “acting bug” at age six and performed regularly in youth theatre until the age of eighteen, when he began working in the television industry.
In 1992, Rob was cast in a recurring role on The Children’s Channel (TCC), the UK’s only dedicated channel for kids at that time. He continued working there, as a regular actor on numerous scripted series, as well as a live continuity presenter and voice-over artist, for the ensuing five years.
Throughout the 90s, parallel to his escalating career as an actor, Rob rose to national prominence as television presenter, with a notable talent for live broadcasting. To date, he has fronted a diverse mixture of mainstream shows, including chat, game, lifestyle, and reality, accumulating more than 10,000 hours of airtime!
It was during this time that Rob worked with Gary Ashburn and the dynamic duo of collectables was first united. They have been “memorabilia mates” and an acclaimed double act on international airwaves ever since.
At the turn of the millennium, Rob emigrated to the USA, initially taking a break from his career to raise a family. After moving to Los Angeles in 2008, he played an extensive repertoire of roles in American feature films (including Beyond the Lights, AWOL-72 and Default), television shows (including Ray Donovan, NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, Scorpion, Marvel’s Agent Carter, General Hospital, 2 Broke Girls, Hot in Cleveland, You’re the Worst, Family Tools, Henry Danger and Jimmy Kimmel Live!) and video games (including Mass Effect 3 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim). He also starred as the ebullient butler, Niles, comedic character host of VH1’s infamous Megan Wants a Millionaire.
In 2018, Rob returned to the United Kingdom, to establish a second home in London, where, due to the pandemic, he is now primarily based. His acting career quickly flourished on British soil, starring as Larry the Liquidator in a stage revival of Other People’s Money, guest starring on Sky TV’s celebrated drama Cobra, and appearing in the Apple TV feature film Tetris. He can also be seen broadcasting live, several nights a week, on Britain’s mainstream channel, ITV, where he and Gary Ashburn regularly host their hugely popular collectables and memorabilia show.
